Dreaming of India and Bali

The past year has been toxic yet meaningful. By the end of it all, I just want to relax, recuperate, clear my mind of things, and reflect about the future, my life. And what better way to do that than to be in a foreign place, eh?

I have been thinking of going to Italy and Spain. These two are always in my heart. Since I was able to read and gained the consciousness of traveling, I have already been dreaming of setting foot on Tuscany and Florence, and Naples and Rome. And then I saw Catalan, Spain in a book and then on TV; and I just fell completely in love with it. A friend of mine said that Spaniards are snotty. But I wouldn’t like to put it that way or think of it that way. I would like to think that they are a laid-back people as I’ve seen in the movies—and passionate, too. Nevertheless, I don’t think I’d be able to get to these places any time soon. Financial constraints, baby!

But Bali and India are closer—Bali, most of all. So I think I’d go for it. And I’m sure it’s laid-back and it’s got the ocean and the waves and the rich culture to knock me off my feet.

So for now, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and my expenses cut to the minimum.
